Water and Sanitation project project, based in Sumba Island Indonesia, is a partnership with Rotary club of Seaside, Oregon, USA and Rotary club of Bali Kuta, and supported by a global grant from the Rotary Foundation which will match suitably qualified projects. It includes the construction of rain water tanks and fiberglass toilets designed to recycle human waste and minimize water consumption. The pans are manufactured locally under supervision by Rotarians.

Lymphedema project: Our club supported an inspirational lady who is a Lymphedema occupational therapist to travel to India and provide the training to local medical staff in a clinic in North Karela SW India. This involved designing and manufacturing compression garments. The partnering clubs were BMC and Moorabbin. Also the project was eligible for a district grant.

Nepal Disaster Relief: Our club contributed to a rebuilding project in Nepal following the earthquake with the Rotary club of Clayton who were the primary champion. We worked with a local Rotary club in Katmandu.

Wheelchairs 4 Kids: In conjunction with Rotary club of Scarborough in WA 40 wheelchairs were delivered to Sumba Island with the help of the Rotary club of Bali Kuta. These wheelchairs are manufactured in Perth by Rotarians and volunteers. Our club arranged the training of the local staff for fitting these chairs to the disabled youths suffering diseases such as cerebral palsy.

ROMAC: One of our members Jason Chetty is a member of the district committee for bringing children suffering severe burns or birth defects back to Australian hospitals for an operation that will change their lives, and returning them back into their community. Jason arranged for a young man Rick Tolentino from Timor Leste who suffered vascular atrophy to be treated at Monash Hospital and rehabilitated at his home. Ricky is fully recovered and studying for an engineering degree in Dili now.
