Moira Kelly - Creating Hope Foundation

11-year-old Angel suffers from CLOVES syndrome, a rare condition causing tissue overgrowth that affects her feet, making her unable to walk and requiring a wheelchair. Doctors had planned to amputate both feet in 2019 but deemed the surgery too risky. Moira Kelly, founder of the Creating Hope Foundation, took on Angel's case and discovered a potential treatment using Alpelisib, a drug commonly used for breast cancer. Angel’s condition has also caused internal organ compression, leading to a hysterectomy at age 10. Despite these challenges, Angel hopes to live without pain and regain some independence.
